BRONSON (WTVB) - The American Red Cross Great Lakes Region has announced an emergency need for blood donors, and is calling on all eligible people to make an appointment to donate as soon as possible Red Cross spokesperson Monica Stoneking says that, even though a recent strike of some of the organization's employees has ended, they're still a good 50 thousand donations behind where the Red Cross was last year.
She says that dozens of blood drives have been scheduled in the region over the next month in an attempt to get the blood supply to where it should be. A special Rotary sponsored blood drive will be held Tuesday at St Mary’s School in Bronson from noon until 5:45 pm. More information on the blood drive can be found at www.calhounbranchmi.redcross.org
