COLON TOWNSHIP, ST JOSEPH COUNTY (WTVB) - Michigan State Police divers again spent hours in a section of the St. Joseph River, near the location in Colon Township where Bronson High School grad Venus Stewart disappeared two years ago, checking on hits from a cadaver dog, that searched the area earlier this month, looking for her body.  The St. Joseph River runs right behind her parent’s home.  Her estranged husband, Doug Stewart,  has been convicted of abducting her from the street in front of that home, killing her and disposing of the body.
