BATTLE CREEK (WTVB) - Amtrak passengers no longer need to have a printed ticket in Michigan. The rail line has begun accepting eTickets on all of its lines in the state, starting now. Spokesman Marc Magliari says it took Amtrak a decade to get a system that worked due to differences the rail line has from airlines. The eTickets give people the convenience of just showing the screen of their smartphone to the conductor to get on, and also allows you to print the ticket at home and bypass the ticket counter at the station if you still like having something tangible in your hands.
