COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) - In Branch County high school sports, it’s a busy weekend coming up with state tournament districts in baseball and softball as well as the state track finals, all happening tomorrow. There’s also boy’s golf district tournament play, which teed off yesterday and continues today.

At the Golf Club of Coldwater on Thursday, Quincy hosted a Division Three district meet and while the Orioles didn’t advance as a team to the regionals with their 14th place showing, Ryan Schlueter was an individual qualifier with his score of 88.

And in a Division Four District meet in Kalamazoo at the Milham Park Golf Course, Union City’s team season came to an end with their ninth place finish, but Jordan Keene was able to move on as an individual qualifier for the Chargers after shooting a 97.

Meanwhile, no final results have been posted yet for the Division Three District at Island Hills, where Bronson was one of 13 schools playing in the meet hosted by Constantine.

On tap for today in boy’s golf, Coldwater plays in the Division Two District at the Marshall Country Club.

Tomorrow in baseball and softball, District titles will be decided. The schedule includes Coldwater vs. Sturgis in the semi-finals of the Division Two District at Sturgis. And in Division Three at Quincy, the semi-finals feature the host Orioles againstUnion Citywhile Bronson faces off againstConstantine.
