COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) - The name of Coldwater-native Mike Stahly won’t be on the August G-O-P primary ballot for the Seventh District Congressional seat held by incumbent Republican Tim Walberg.
Stahly, from Olivet, said on his Facebook page today that he has been contacted by the State Board of Canvassers, which said it found too many “irregularities” with signatures, such as people incorrectly reporting their proper city or township of registration.
Stahly said he was immensely disappointed and thanked his supporters for their prayers and donations, adding that he hoped he had moved the cause of the Constitution forward. That leaves Dan Davis as the lone challenger to Walberg on the G-O-P ballot.
On the democratic side, the primary race is between Kurt Haskell and Ruben Marquez.
