ANGOLA, IN – (WTVB) - A manhunt continues today for one of three suspects in Sunday’s murder of an Angola man. The search has been centered near the Indiana-Ohio state line. Steuben County, Indiana authorities say 40-year old Brent Donbroski was shot early yesterday and died later at Cameron Hospital, where he was taken by private vehicle.
Steuben County Sheriff Tim Troyer says one of his deputies attempted to pull over a suspect vehicle but it failed to stop and the pursuit headed into Williams County, Ohio. A shootout followed including the deputy’s squad car being struck during the chase and then more gunshots exchanged after the suspect stopped north ofColumbia,Ohio.
Two Angola men, identified as Dan Burrell and Mike Forester, Junior, were subsequently arrested and are reportedly being held in the Williams County jail. The third suspect, still being sought, is 24-year-old Zao Burrell and is said to be armed and dangerous.
No law enforcement members were injured in Sunday’s incidents. There’s no word yet on a motive for the murder and detectives continue to investigate which of the suspects pulled the trigger that resulted in Donbroski’s death.
Zao Burrell, again the wanted suspect still on the loose, is described as a white male, five-feet-nine inches tall and 185 pounds. He also has a tattoo on his neck with the word “MOB”.
