LANSING, MI (WKZO) -- For the first time since last May there has been a slight uptick in unemployment, and it’s for the same reason as last year’s blip. The sudden rush of fresh graduates into the job market increased the size of the labor pool, and that increased the number of unemployed. The jobless number rose to 8.5%, still a vast improvement from where it stood at this time last year, 10.6%.
