COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) - Some U-S-12 motorists paused or at least slowed down around 1:30 yesterday afternoon because of a traffic accident on Coldwater’s east side in front of the Big Boy restaurant.

A moped driven by 20-year old Shelby Lee Ramsey of Coldwater smashed into a car that pulled out in front of her from the Big Boy. Ramsey suffered head and arm lacerations but wasn’t seriously injured and lwas treated and released from the Community Health Center of Branch County.

The 33-year old Litchfield woman driving the car was cited for failure to yield leaving a private parking lot. She wasn’t hurt. Traffic in the area was stalled for around a half an hour.
