MUSKEGON (WKZO) -- The 62nd Annual Miss Michigan Pageant gets underway with the preliminary rounds this evening in Muskegon and they really want the public to know that they are in no way affiliated with Donald Trump’s Miss U.S.A. pageant. The Trump owned event seems to have annual scandals, including allegations this year that the show is fixed.
The 31 contestants who are competing this weekend, feel pretty good that they all have a shot at the crown.
Pageant Director Shelley Taylor and chief Judge David Weinandt says says any girl could win, and if it wasn’t fair and above board, they would not be involved. The Winner Saturday night at Frauenthal Hall will go on to compete in the “Miss America” pageant...not the Miss U.S.A. event.
She will also win a scholarship.
