KANDAHAR PROVINCE (WKZO) -- Michigan has lost another soldier to the fighting the Middle east. Sgt First Class Joseph Lilly of Flint had served as a combat engineer in both Iraq and Afghanistan.

The Pentagon says he was injured by the blast of an improvised explosive device in Kandahar Province on Tuesday and died on board the medical flight to Germany. He leaves behind a wife and a 3-year-old son. Joseph Lilly was 25.
