COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) - A group of non-profits in Branch County have received a total of more than $14,000 in funds donated from the proceeds of this year’s Coldwater Swap Meet and Car Show. The proceeds from this year’s show, the 25th annual event, were three thousand dollars above the funding donated from the 2011 swap meet.
Representatives from the charity organizations received their checks on Monday at the Branch County Fairgrounds, where the event is held. The Branch County Fair Board received $3,000 while $2,500 apiece goes to Family Promise of Branch County, the former BIHN, Branch County Coalition against Domestic Violence, Branch Area Careers Center Scholarship Fund, and the First Presbyterian Health Care Clinic.
The Branch Area Food Pantry received $1,000 and a new recipient this year, Branch County Sexual Assault Services received $500. The Co-Chairs for the 2013 show are Hardy Risner and Tom Thomas
