LANSING (WKZO) -- Ambassador Bridge owner Manuel "Matty" Maroun plans to fight Governor Rick Snyder's bridge deal with Canada.
A representative for Maroun said on Monday that they vow to start a petition drive against the Governor's deal. On Friday, Snyder entered into a 40-to-50 year agreement with Canada, allowing them to build, pay for and operate a second bridge spanning the Detroit River.
Maroun wants to build his own second bridge to Canada and has publicly opposed Snyder's plans. He's hoping to get the issue on the November ballot.
