Mt. Hood (WKZO) -- They aren’t saying it’s a miracle but they say that a Michigan man is lucky to be alive after he fell off Mt. Hood in Oregon and tumbled hundreds of feet down the mountainside before finally coming to a stop. Clackamas County Sheriff's Sgt. Adam Phillips says a similar fall killed an experienced climber there just a week ago.
52-year-old Gary Morgan of Clarkston, Michigan was making a solo climb when something went wrong and he fell off Hogsback Ridge. They had to carry him down the mountain..
He suffered serious leg and hip injuries and secondary injuries all over his body as he hit things during the fall.
