Lost in the crush of the crusade to anoint LaBron James with his first World Championship in Thursday night’s Miami Heat Game Five Finals win over the Thunder was the title ring won by ex-Fab-Fiver Juwan Howard.
The 38-year old former Michigan star who played just a total of 24 minutes in the playoffs for Miami, finished his 18th season in the league. His leadership and wisdom were a welcome addition to the Heat’s locker room, where after the clinching victory this week he met up with, among others, Jalen Rose, his former teammate at the U-of-M and now an ESPN NBA analyst.
