The Lions have claimed former Jaguars cornerback Dontrell Johnson off waivers. Johnson, who went undrafted out ofMurrayState, is coming off injuries to his ankle and hand last season in college. Detroit has also released rookie safety Alonzo Lawrence, who signed with the team as an undrafted free agent.

Lions rookies and injured players are scheduled to report to training camp on July 23rd in Allen Park.  All other players will report on July 26th.
