LANSING (WKZO) -- Bovine Tuberculosis has been confirmed in a medium-size dairy herd in Alpena County.
The Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development says it was discovered during routine bovine TB testing. A public information meeting is set for July 12th at Alpena Community College.
Since 1998, MDARD and the U.S. Department of Agriculture have found 54 TB positive cattle herds and four privately-owned cervid operations in the northern Lower Peninsula.
