The Lions are dealing with yet another DUI arrest. Detroit defensive back Aaron Berry was picked up by police in his hometown o fHarrisburg, Pennsylvaniaover the weekend on suspicion of driving under the influence. Lion’s head coach Jim Schwartz says this repeated problem is giving the team a bad name. It's the sixth time this offseason a Lions player has been involved in an alcohol or drug-related incident, including two each by defensive tackle Nick Fairley and running back Mikel Leshoure.
Berry has apologized on his agency's Facebook page, saying, "This is not the example I want to set for young people and it's certainly not what my team and coaches expect from me."Berrywas arrested early Saturday morning after allegedly hitting several cars in a hotel parking lot.
A witness called police after Berry got out of his car and started to walk away.Berryis entering his third year as a cornerback for the Lions and played in 11 games last season, including 3 starts.
