LANSING (WKZO) -- The first of eight timber sales on state forest land in the Duck Lake Fire area brought the state nearly 395-thousand dollars. The Michigan Department of Natural Resources started getting areas ready for timber harvest as soon as conditions from the fire this spring were deemed safe.
