COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) - A car/motorcycle accident this morning in Coldwater Township sent the biker to the Community Health Center of Branch County for treatment of minor injuries. Fifty-seven-year old Daniel Girdham of Reading complained of back and leg pain before being taken to the hospital.

Sheriff’s Deputies said he was northbound on South Willowbrook Road south of U.S. 12 when he struck the driver’s side door of a northbound car. Fifty-five-year old Margaret Traver of Coldwater was delivering newspapers from her car and had started a left turn into a private drive when the collision happened.

 Girdham was wearing a helmet. The crash occurred in a no passing zone shortly before 5 a.m. and remains under investigation.
