COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) - Raises for many public employees seem to be slim to none these days but Head Start and Great Start Readiness workers in the Branch Intermediate School District are getting a hike in pay, even if it’s less than one percent.
The B-I-S-D Board yesterday took action to approve the economic re-opener portion of their contracts and Intermediate Superintendent Joe Lopez tells us they’re getting a .072 percent raise, basically a cost of living adjustment, COLA, and that comes from the Federal government with those programs grant funded.
