MT. PLEASANT (WKZO) -- The search for a missing mid-Michigan boy is over and it has not ended happily.

After extensive searches all over the Mt. Pleasant area, the badly burned body of 4 year old Carnel Chamberlain turned up just a few feet from the front door of his mother’s home, under the front porch, sniffed out by a cadaver dog.

The mothers boyfriend, 20 year old Anthony Bennett has been a person of interest in the disappearance and is now in custody. He was supposed to be watching the boy. He has been uncooperative, refusing to take a lie detector and generally under suspicion since the boy disappeared last week.
