QUINCY, MI (WTVB) - A number of Quincy Village employees are in line for pay raises, starting next month with the beginning of the fiscal year for the Village on April First. Last night, the Village Council decided to to approve 2% increases, rather than the 3% hikes that were originally proposed.
The higher salaries will go to the Clerk Treasurer, Utility Billing Clerk, Utility manager, Street Superintendent, and a part time DPW worker. Because the Village staff agreed this year moving to a high deductible HSA health insurance plan, the raises will still result in lower costs to the Village. Three people in the audience objected to the bump up in salaries.
The Council last night also approved a general fund spending plan for the next 12 months.
