GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WHTC) - State Representative Dave Agema has filed a federal lawsuit stemming from a January cancellation of remarks by a self-proclaimed former terrorist. The Grandville Republican claims the city of Allegan, the Allegan schools and nine individuals had no credible cause to shut down a speech at Allegan High by ex-terrorist Kamal Saleem. Police said that a 25 million-dollar bounty on Saleem's head was enough to halt the event. Agema and other plaintiffs in the litigation are seeking unspecified ompensatory and punitive damages.
