WASHINGTON (WKZO) -- Michigan Congressman John Dingell is filing paperwork to seeking re-election.
If re-elected, the Dearborn Democrat would set a record with his 30th term in Congress. The 85-year-old became the longest-serving member of the House of Representatives in February of 2009 and was first elected to his seat in 1955.
Dingell, who says that his work is unfinished, would officially become the longest-serving member of Congress in June of 2013.
