MICHIGAN (WTVB) - McDonald’s is following in the footsteps of several other food makers and tapping into the popular Local Food movement, with their “Michigan for Michigan” campaign. Yesterday they kicked it off with a McNews Conference in West Michigan with the help of Governor Snyder.
The fast food franchise spends over $271-million buying Michigan eggs, milk, fruits, pickles and all sorts of other produce and they plan to buy more. Governor Snyder says it’s what we do. McDonalds will soon be running ads featuring some of the farmers who grow that produce.
