The Phoenix Coyotes still have a pulse, staving off elimination yesterday with a 2-to-0 shutout over the Kings in Los Angeles in Game 4 of the Western Conference finals. The Kings suffered their first loss since April 18th, snapping a franchise-record eight-game playoff winning streak.
And Red Wings forward Pavel Datsyuk scored a goal and added two assists as Russia defeated Slovakia 6-2 in the gold medal game of the world championship. Datsyuk won 11 of his 17 faceoffs in nearly 17-and-a-half minutes of ice time.
