LANSING (WKZO) -- Details are leaking out about an FBI investigation involving a state Supreme Court Justice.
Reportedly a 1.5-million dollar real estate transaction was conducted in such a way that let Justice Diane Hathaway eliminate nearly 600-thousand dollars in mortgage debt. Hathaway allegedly moved properties to family members then sold the Grosse Pointe Park home in a short sale for 850-thousand dollars.
Former Detroit FBI chief Andrew Arena says, quote "This is a plausible scheme. It is one that I've seen in the past. It's a shell game, you move properties around."
