A Michigan man is being charged with letting his injured and grossly obese wife fester in her own filth.   She was finally removed by a team that had to wear hazmat suits, and a few days later died.

Michael Brooks was her primary caretaker and is now charged with second degree abuse of a vulnerable person.  His wife had been injured in an auto accident and that left her bedridden.    The couple’s children are staying with other relatives.

 Meanwhile A Jackson woman claimed she lived with the dead body of her boyfriend propped up in a living room chair for a year and a half because she didn’t want to live without Charles Ziglar’s companionship. She was charged with not wanting to live without his pension checks, which she continued to cash. Now a deal has been struck with Linda Chase. She pled guilty this week to two counts of theft by conversion and in exchange more serious forgery charges were dropped. The 72-year-old was ordered into Mental Health Court, where she can avoid jail if she sticks to a mental health treatment program.  She is now living with family.
