Lots of post season awards for Coldwater High soccer teams

COLDWATER (WTVB) - Three Coldwater soccer players have been named to the Michigan High School Soccer Coaches Association All-Region Team. The awards for Yousif, Mohamed, and Nooh Aljabaly were announced at the team’s awards banquet last night.  All three are also eligible for All State honors, which will be voted on this weekend following the soccer state finals.  The three Aljabalys, along with Zakria Haggagi and Ian Wight, were also named to the All District team.  Scout Case was All District Honorable Mention.  Named to the SMAC East All Division team were Mohamed Aljabaly, Yousif Aljabaly, Zakria Haggagi, and Tommy Nagle. SMAC All Division Honorable Mention were Nooh Aljabaly, Scout Case, and Ian Wright.  As seniors with a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher, Alex Daoud and Esmail Al-qersh were named Academic All State.

In awards voted on by their teammates, Holden Chesher was named Hardest Worker, Scout Case Most Improved, Zakria Haggagi Best Defense, Mohamed Aljabaly Best Offense, Nooh Aljabaly Rookie of the Year,  and Yousif Aljabaly Most Valuable Player. 

In the junior varsity awards, Waleed Zamzami was named Best Offense, Bassum Ahmed and Azam Ahmed Best Defense, Haroon Aljabaly Hardest Worker, Ethan Machida Most Improved, Sean and Delaney and Fadel Said Rookies of the Year, and Spencer Leist Most Valuable Player.
