Lion’s practice session yesterday didn’t include receiver Calvin Johnson, defensive end Cliff Avril and safeties Louis Delmas and Amari Spievey, all missing again because of injuries. However, running back Mikel Leshoure and linebacker DeAndre Levy returned after sitting out Wednesday. Recently acquired  receiver Mike Thomas joined the team at practice and will wear number-19. Detroit plays Sunday at Jacksonville.

The Lions yesterday also placed rookie cornerback Bill Bentley on injured reserve and replaced him on the active roster with Don Carey. Last night’s NFL Network Thursday night game saw San Diego cruise to a 31-to-13 win at home over Kansas City.
