Michigan’s final tune-up EGfor the regular season found pre-season All-American sophomore guard Trey Burke showing no rust as the Wolverines carved up the Saginaw Valley State Cardinals 76-to-48 last night at Crisler Arena.
Burke, who was suspended for Michigan’s exhibition opener last week for violating team standards, had 16 points and 8 assists while freshman Glen Robinson the Third had a game-high 17 points.
After the game, Burke said this year’s team with Robinson and the other freshman standouts gives the wolverines a lot more options
The Wolverine’s season opener is Friday night at home against Slippery Rock.
