Bronson, MI (WTVB) - In Branch County high school sports, in state tournament volleyball action last night in a match you heard here on the radio, the season came to an end for the Bronson Lady Vikings with their 3-to-1 loss to Concord in the Jonesville Class-C Regional semi-finals. The defeat for the 8th-ranked Lady Vikings at the hands of the 3rd-ranked Yellowjackets brings to a conclusion the fall season of sports events for county teams.
Bronson took the early lead last night, winning the opening game 26-24, but then Concord swept to victory in the next three sets 26-24, 25-21, 25-22. Our McDonald’s Player of the Match for Bronson was Mallorie Bassage. Concord advances to tomorrow night’s regional title match to face Grass Lake, which eliminated
Dansville 3-to-0 in last night’s other semi-final contest at Jonesville.
