COVERT, MI (WKZO) -- The nuclear reactor at the Palisades facility in Covert is slowly being brought back up to full generation after a pipe in the steam generation system sprung a leak.   That particular pipe couldn’t be isolated and repaired while the reactor was running and so they shut it down Sunday afternoon, replaced the leaky pipe and a nearby valve. The disruption lasted just under 69 hours.
