COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) - While the final work on the Tibbits Opera House façade restoration won’t be completed until spring, workers have made some noticeable progress toward finishing the project this past two weeks. Last Saturday two new 10 foot high entrance doors were installed, just ahead of the annual Tibbits Benefit Auction. This past week engraved pavers were installed at the entrance of the theatre. Those pavers were purchased by donors to the project.
Still ahead this month is installation of the other new doors for the front of the theatre and completion of interior renovations for the lobby and box office. Installation of an exterior balcony and other decorative elements will be done in early spring.
