COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) - In Branch County high school sports, All-State honors in boy’s soccer for a trio of brothers from Coldwater as well as for a player from Quincy. Leading the way in the announcement made yesterday by the Michigan High School Soccer Coach’s Association was Coldwater junior Mohamed Aljabaly, named to the Division Two All-State second team. It’s the highest All-State honor ever in boy’s soccer for Coldwater. Previously, Cam Holicki in 2009 and Kaliel Alisaid in 2011 were third team All State. Named yesterday to the 2012 All-State third team from Coldwater was senior Yousif Aljabaly while sophomore Nooh Aljabaly was honorable mention. And Quincy senior Ashton Diotte was selected Division 4 All-State honorable mention

The third round of the MHSAA football playoffs kicks off tonight with more regional championship games on tap for tomorrow with the winners staying on the road to Ford Field and the eight state title games coming up Thanksgiving weekend.
