DETOIT, MI (WKZO) - Chrysler is recalling nearly 745-thousand older model Jeep Grand Cherokee and Jeep Liberty SUVs. Imagine you are riding down the road, or say the highway at 70-MPH and suddenly your airbags go off without provocation. Chrysler says it’s already happened 200-times causing 81 injuries. Michelle Krebs at Edmunds-dot-com says just standing still, an airbag can do damage. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says its caused by a faulty part in the Jeep Liberty and Grand Cherokee SUVS from the 2002 thru 2004 model years.
