Trey Burke had 22 points and nine assists and was one of five Michigan players to score in double-digits last night as the fifth-ranked Wolverines routed IUPUI 91-to-54 in an NIT Season Tip-Off first round game at Crisler Arena.
Michigan will try to improve to 3-and-0 tonight when they host Cleveland State in a second round Tip-Off contest with the winner moving on to the tournament semi-finals a week from tomorrow at Madison Square Garden.
Also coming up tonight, 14th-ranked Michigan State will attempt to rebound from its season-opening loss last Friday to U-Conn in the Armed Forces Classic as the Spartans face off against Number-7 Kansas at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta.
And Western Michigan has its home opener tonight, taking on Marygrove at University Arena in Kalamazoo.
