NASCAR has fined Jeff Gordon 100-thousand-dollars, docked 25 points, and placed him on probation for intentionally wrecking Clint Bowyer during Sunday's race at Phoenix International Raceway.
The incident led to a brawl between Gordon and Bowyer's team in the garage area. Bowyer exited his car and took off towards Gordon's hauler before he was restrained by NASCAR officials. Bowyer's crew chief was fined 25-thousand dollars for his team's role in the fight and also placed on probation through the end of the year. The Sprint Cup season wraps up this weekend with Sunday’s finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
