MICHIGAN, (WTVB)- A statement from a Michigan based firm that is the distributor of 5-Hour Energy drinks says the company is quote "unaware of any deaths proven to have been caused by the consumption of 5-Hour Energy."
According to the Food and Drug Administration, over the past four years the deaths of 13-people may have been connected to consumption of the drinks. There have been reports of 92 adverse reactions to the drink including 32-hospitalizations. The statement from Living Essentials of Farmington Hills also says quote, "It is important to note that submitting a serious adverse event report to the FDA, according [[ to ]] the agency itself, is not construed by FDA as an admission that the dietary supplement was involved, caused or contributed to the adverse event being reported."
