COLDWATER, MI (WTVB ) - Wednesday night, they flipped the switch to turn on the Christmas lights on the trees along U.S. 12 through downtown Coldwater, where tonight the Downtown Development Authority’s “Desserts on the Downtown” and “Art Walk” events are happening. It's all a part of the nationwide "Shop Locally" effort for local downtowns. Local businesses will provide free desserts for shoppers from 5:30 pm-7:30 pm tonight, while the Arts Alive Art Walk runs from 5:30 pm-8:00 pm.

In additon, you'll have chance to win prizes while shopping downtown, with WTVB's "Stick It And Win" contest.  Pick up your lapel sticker at Kiess Jewelry, Lamp Post Christian Bookstore, Northwoods Coffee Company, Culy's Jewelry, Wilbur's Furniture, and Taylor's Stationers and Taylor's Books and More.
