COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) _ It was Branch County’s turn yesterday to get a multiple burglary suspect into the county’s legal system before turning him back over to another agency. Bradley Beard of Lansing, along with his wife, is accused of master-minding one of the largest and most expensive series of heists in the region’s history.

On Thursday, Beard was brought to the Branch County jail from Eaton County, fingerprinted, and then processed on a total of six State Police larceny and conspiracy warrants and one safe burglary count. There were also warrants from the Sheriff’s Department for conspiracy and forced entry of a residence.

Authorities say the two may have robbed as many as 150 homes in an 8 county area of mid-Michigan. Investigators seized stolen property valued at over 100-thousand dollars from a motel room in Albion where the items were stashed.  The couple was arrested at the beginning of the month.
