A couple of key defenders for the Lions have returned from injuries and were able to practice Tuesday as the team prepares for their Thanksgiving Day game tomorrow at Ford Field against the Texans.
Tackle Corey Williams missed the last two contests after hurting his right knee while safety Louis Delmas hasn’t played since re-injuring his left knee last month against the Seahawks.
Meanwhile, cornerback Drayton Florence missed practice yesterday because of a concussion and offensive tackle Jeff Backus is very doubtful for tomorrow as he nurses a sore hamstring.
The Pittsburgh Steelers have brought back Plaxico Burress, signing the veteran wide receiver from Michigan State. Burress spent the first five years of his career with the Steelers, but was unable to find a team this past offseason after playing the 2011 campaign with the New York Jets. He missed two years while serving a 20-month prison sentence for a 2008 gun charge in New York City.
