The National Hockey League announced the cancellation of the 2013 All-Star Weekend. The festivities were scheduled to be hosted by the Columbus Blue Jackets at the end of January.
The league also wiped out another wave of regular-season games, eliminating two more weeks through December 14th. The lockout, which began on September 16th, has now caused the cancellation of 422 regular-season games. In minor league hockey, last night in the ECHL, the Kalamazoo Wings skated to a 5-to-2 victory at Ft. Wayne. Tomorrow afternoon in Kalamazoo, the K-Wings take on Toledo at Wings Stadium.
