UNDATED, (WTVB) - Ever wonder how much it would cost to actually buy all the gifts mentioned in the classic carol "The Twelve Days of Christmas?"
The answer this year, according to PNC Wealth Management, is 107-thousand, 300 dollars. That's up more than six percent from 2011. Of the 364 total items the song lists, only half a dozen cost exactly what they did last year. Among those are the "eight maids a milking," apparently because minimum wage hasn't gone up.
The most expensive gift to give is the "seven swans a swimming." They'll set you back a thousand dollars each. At the opposite end of the list is the partridge -- the one that sits in the 189-dollar pear tree. It can be purchased for just 15.
