KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO) - Our Midwest Communications Inc, radio stations are working with T.J. Duckett’s foundation, the New World Flood , to collect Christmas items for the victims of Hurricane Sandy. Duckett’s group has already delivered four semi-loads of food and clothing and other items that the Red Cross isn’t collecting. Duckett is the former Kalamaozo Loy Norrix and Michigan State University football player.
Executive Director Marcus Coleman says they will be collecting new toys and canned goods all this week at the Kalamazoo and Battle Creek Metro P.C.S. offices and at the Midwest Communications, Inc radio studios at 4200 West Main Street in Kalamazoo.
The collections will continue through Thursday and the trucks will leave for the east Coast on Friday.
