GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WKZO) - The former manager of a Georgia mortgage document processing firm called DocX has been charged in a west Michigan courtroom with Racketeering, after a "60 Minutes" segment revealed that hundreds of thousands of foreclosure documents had all been forged by her employees. Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette says arrangements are being made to bring Lorraine Brown to Michigan for prosecution. He says 1,000 of the “robo-signed” documents, with the name “Linda Green” have been found in Michigan.
Brown has been charged in Kent County, but Michigan may have to wait in line. She has already pled to fraud charges in Missouri and to Federal wire fraud counts in Florida.
