ROSEVILLE, MI (WTVB) - Authorities are expected to know this afternoon if the soil samples taken from behind a Roseville home Friday morning contain human remains and are worth additional excavation. It’s a long shot that the remains of former Teamsters boss Jimmy Hoffa might be there. An anthropologist at Michigan State University spent the weekend studying the soil sample for the local police. The search was prompted by a tip from a former Michigan man who used to live on the same block and said a previous owner of the home, who he called a bookmaker for the Mafia, was up all night pouring concrete the day Hoffa disappeared. The FBI has chased thousands of Hoffa tips since his disappearance in July 1975.
