The NHL and Player’s Association resumed negotiations Tuesday, as the two sides continue to search for a resolution to the lockout. Following a two-hour meeting, NHL deputy commissioner Bill Daly didn't express much, if any optimisim, saying the session "wasn't overly encouraging, that's for sure." He added that no new discussions have been scheduled. The special counsel for the player’s union, Steve Fehr did not speak with reporters after leaving the conference. The league has already canceled the entire preseason. Regular-season games, which are slated to start on October 11th, may be next on the chopping block.
