SHERWOOD TOWNSHIP (WTVB) - Two Sherwood residents were killed Friday morning in an accident at the corner of M-60 and M-66 in Sherwood Township. According to Branch County Sheriff’s Deputies, a vehicle driven by 45-year-old Kenneth Waychoff pulled into the path of a westbound pickup & trailer driven by 62-year-old Randy Taber of Springport. Kenneth Waychoff was ejected from his vehicle, while his nephew, 17-year-old Joshua Waychoff was pinned inside; both were pronounced dead at the scene. Alcohol and excessive speed were not believed to be factors in the accident, which remains under investigation.
