BRONSON, MI (WTVB) - A section of Orland Road in Branch County’s Bronson Township was closed for several hours this morning following a semi-tractor trailer roll over accident that occurred shortly after 6 a.m.
There were no reports of any serious injuries in the crash that was apparently triggered by a deer that ran in front of the semi. 55-year old Leslie Yoder, a driver for Nottawa Lumber, told deputies he was southbound on Orland when he swerved in an attempt to avoid the deer but lost control when he got onto the soft shoulder of the road and crossed into the northbound ditch and overturned on the driver’s side. Yoder refused medical care from Life Care paramedics. Deputies said seatbelts were in use. The Bronson Fire Department also assisted at the scene
